Compassion in Action: Supporting Our Community

At Emmanuel Church Islamabad, we believe that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Our mission extends beyond the church walls to reach those in our city and across Pakistan who are struggling with the harsh realities of poverty, displacement, and natural disasters.

Guided by the love of Christ, we are committed to being His hands and feet by providing essential relief to those in desperate need.

 

Our Areas of Support

1. Crisis & Flood Relief

Pakistan has faced devastating floods that have left millions without homes or hope. Emmanuel Church stands on the front lines, providing emergency aid to families displaced by rising waters. We focus on:

- Emergency shelter and tents.
- Clean drinking water to prevent disease.
- Rebuilding efforts for damaged homes in vulnerable areas.

2. Food Security (The Daily Bread Project)

Hunger is a daily reality for many families in and around Islamabad. We organize regular food drives and distribution centers to provide:

- Monthly ration packs (flour, oil, rice, pulses).
- Warm meals for the homeless and street children.
- Nutritional support for widowed mothers and the elderly.

3. Clothing & Dignity

Extreme weather—from scorching summers to freezing winters—poses a threat to those without proper attire. Our clothing bank collects and distributes:

- Warm blankets and sweaters for the winter months.
- School uniforms for children in poverty.
- Decent everyday clothing to restore a sense of dignity to the marginalized.

4. Housing & Poverty Alleviation

Long-term poverty requires more than just temporary aid. We work to provide:

- Rent assistance for families facing eviction.
- Small grants for home repairs to ensure safe living conditions.
- Advocacy and support for those living in informal settlements (katchi abadis).
